Good morning! I hope you all are waking up well and have a hot cup of coffee in hand! For many of you, school has started back up! And for others, it's coming (like, in a week or two)!
So, whether you are back at school or you are getting in your last summer days out with your family, I hope that you are prepared to make this next school year, amazing!
And, for the rest of you who are like... I do not work in the school system... well, good for you! I am sure you've been hard at work, all summer! Whatever your job is, cheers!
I want to make this post, short and sweet. Lately, I've had several conversations with other coaches, trainers, athletes, and sport professionals from the youth level all the way up to professional sports. Our conversations typically have a pattern- depending on the season. However, lately, it has been a lot about what's going on at the high school and college levels in sport.
I've learned to recognize that many coaches, do not know everything (although when I was younger, it sure seemed like they did). This means that, many coaches are also teachers and do not have much time on their hands to go back or follow through with continued education (and yes, you are teachers on the playing field and in a classroom). However, for most of my athletic career, I've been working with coaches to make sure that they have the opportunity to gain insight to the latest topics in sport performance, how to's, and tips and tricks through my organization, here at GP. This process has been successful, and I've had many coaches ask me for more! So, as I move forward into this season, I'll be preparing some more audio recordings and modules for those of you who are in need to some guidance.
Here is a short list of some quick modules that are to come:
Structure in Your Sports Practice
Goal Implementation That Works For You & Your Athletes
Effective Communication with Your Athletes
Monthly Check In With Athletes & Parents
Advancing Your Training (Sport Specific)
Why Sports Teams Need Athletic Trainers & Coaches & Nutritionists & Mental Consultants
So, if some or all of these topics sound like something you need in your professional career, feel free to subscribe to the website here and you will be notified of our next available modules!
I hope this year, that you are bringing your best Game to the table and wanting to be a successful leader as a coach, teacher, director, parents, and all other areas of life that you walk! Let's make this year a great one!
Cheers!
